Beachbound was part of the MAC "To the Beach" Collection which was released in 2010. It's a glaze finish, so it's not intensely pigmented, and has a golden peachy shimmer through it. It's very pretty- but not my cup of tea, because I'm unusually scared of glitter. Being that it's a shimmer, I dab it on to the centre of my top and bottom lips to make them look bigger when I'm wearing other shades- works a treat!

MAC Creme D'Nude
Creme D'Nude is fast becoming one of my favourite Nudes. I held off getting it for so long because the colour was just way too similar to Myth for me to justify purchasing. Creme D'Nude is a Creamsheen lipstick, which means basically it's not as opaque, but still has buildable colour if you want to layer it. It's a lovely nude, and low maintenance. It's also very moisturising, which is a huge plus for me- nothing worse than feeling like you're walking around with flakey feeling lips.
MAC Myth
Myth is a little harder to wear for me, in comparison to my other nudes. It's a thick formula, with opaque coverage. In MAC language, it's a "Satin" finish. Once you put some gloss over the top it's a lot more wearable. I do like the satin finishes, but Myth is just too pale to wear without looking chalky on its own.
The Lipstick Chronicles: Chapter One- The Nudes
MAC Nudes: (Top- Bottom) Siss, Beach Sand, Freckletone, Peachstock, Shy Girl, Hue, Beachbound, Creme D'Nude, Myth.
Other Nudes: (Top- Bottom) Givenchy #25 Rose Caprice, YSL Rouge Volupte #1 Nude Beige, YSL Rouge Pur Couture #24 Blonde Ingenu, Illamasqua Sonnet.
How many nudes should a girl have? Well, if you're anything like me, if it's one shade either side of something you already own, you need it.
There are some nudes which are so much more wearable then others, I'd encourage anyone to go to a counter and ask a MUA, or, alternatively, just try a few on. Depending on the formula, and brand, you can get a lot of different results.
Stay tuned!

The Lipstick Chronicles- An introduction
I am very aware that this has been done a million times before, but I'm doing a series of every single lipstick in my collection, which may take up to a year if I only do one or two a week. I'll start off with nudes, and progress to the colours later on.
If anyone has any requests, or recommendations, please feel free to email them through to me at lindsaylreece@gmail.com and I'll see what I can do about purchasing, if I don't already own.
My favourite brands, and the majority of my collection are MAC, Chanel, Dior, YSL, Anna Sui, Napoleon & Illamasqua.
Obviously, these are all personal opinions, no one has influenced my thoughts on any products that will be displayed, and all products have been purchased by me... however, if anyone wants to send anything my way, please, be my guest!
Ps. A little snapshot of what's to come:
